All visibility only for Oppai Promoters

Hey devs,

Today we have yet another big change that will impact visibility on Home, Explore and More Like This algorithms.

But first I have an analogy.

Lunch Meeting: Balance of food per guests

In Brazil, we have the tradition of holding lunch meetings with the family where each guest brings a dish.

Some bring rice, others bring chicken, salad, meat, deserts and beverages. The rule is that each person bring enough food to share with the others.

For each person who comes with food, the balance of food per guest is preserved.

But for each person who comes with empty hands and empty stomachs, the balance of food per guest declines.

These people who come only to eat and even take some food home are usually not invited again for the next gathering.

Balance of Players per Developer

When we opened the Oppai platform 1.5 years ago, there was a good balance of Players per Developers.

But over this time, the number of developers multiplied by 10.

But the number of players did not multiply by the same rate.

So there is a consensus that the platform was great when there were fewer developers. And it's too crowded today with too many developers.

One Rule to Increase the number of players and decrease the number of developers at the same time

As the platform manager, I had to come up with a solution for the imbalance and generate a sustainable growth where the more developers we accept, the more players join the platform.

And the first solution is simple.

Prioritize the needs of Oppai Promoters

We have a group of 60 developers who are actively using Oppai links to promote their own games, and the games of other developers.

My goal is to make sure these 60 friendly developers get the most visibility, and invite more people into the group.

First: Most features remain the same

• The store page of all developers remains accessible using the URL links.
• Download pages remain accessible using the URL links.
• Your blog page remains accessible, and developers can post updates on them.

Visibility rule: Only for developers who generated Cross + Self Sales at least 1% of their Patrons

The algorithms on Home, Explore and More Like This will only show games from developers who promote their games or the games of other developers using their promo links (which include utm_source=<your_URL>).

We even have this dashboard to track analyze each sale on the platform with these links.

Expected results

The number of sales and downloads will remain the same on the platform at first. All the visibility and players will be given to the Oppai Promoters. So they can expect a significant increase.

Developers outside the 1% rule will see a decline in visibility. And they can counteract it by joining the Oppai Promoters group. The more developers join the Oppai Promoters, the more players will enter the platform and the ratio of players per developers will stay sustainable.

How to join the Oppai Promoters Group?

There is a method with immediate impact, but you need to repeat every 30 days. And a method that is more sustainable over the long-term.

Promote Games: Immediate Impact, but you need to repeat every 30 days

• 1) Go to the Top Sellers page
• 2) Click a game that you believe your community will like
• 3) Click "Promote on Patreon"
• 4) If this game has a good pre-made post, follow the instructions.
• 5) If this game has a bad pre-made post, choose another game.

After you promote the game on Patreon, see if it generated any sales on the dashboard.

Important: Only edit the post if you're very confident about your marketing skills. If you edit the post and change the position of the links, the number of clicks and sales can plummet.

Be aware that sometimes one post might not be enough to hit the cross-sales target. You can do a second one.

Use Oppai Download Links: Long-term solution, but slow

For every game on Oppai, we offer a link directly to the download page.

On this page, after download starts, we show other games similar to yours.

You can get self-promotion sale if: the player subscribes using your Oppai page from the download page.

You can get a cross-promotion sale if: the player sees other games and buys it.

Important info:

• Put it on a Public Post: so even players who need to upgrade to a higher tier will see it. You get a Self-promotion sale if they do.
• Don't include any other download options, like MEGA, MediaFire, Google Drive.
• You can find your links on your dashboard Games list and clicking the "Share Links" button.

Notes: If your Patreon Campaign has hidden number of paid members, you need to change it to visible, so enter the Oppai Promoters Group. We need that number visible to calculate the ratio of Cross + Self Promotions divided by your number of Paid Members.
